The "Economical Headstone" concept was developed here at Eaglecarver for the purpose of providing an economical and durable method of marking an unmarked grave. We have discovered that as genealogy "hunters" locate their ancestors quite often they may come across some that are buried in unmarked graves. Many times they have a desire to mark them in some way yet often have several that they would like to mark which makes the cost of granite monuments prohibitive. The economical headstones can be designed and engraved to the customers specifications, shipped economically via USPS and then adhered to a cinder cap block once they arrive at their destination. This can then be buried flush to the ground surface to allow for easy mowing, yet be a durable marker for many years to come. Cost of a Corian face, such as those displayed, typically runs $78.50 and up depending on additional graphics or any other special engraving other than lettering which is included in the price.
Also available are custom "re-face" of existing monuments that may have become unreadable over the years. This can be non-destructively adhered using 100% Silicone and provide a durable surface with engraving to restore the dates and information that are no longer visable on the original headstone.
What started out as a personal project at Shady Grove Cemetery is now available nationwide. I have shipped the Economical Headstones all across the nation

The Plot Marker line of products compliment the Economical Headstone line. May small rural cemeteries, especially in the south, require that you mark your cemetery plots with some kind of identification. Using the same concept as the Headstones, the plot marker faces are designed to be adhered to 1/2 of a half sized cinder building block. Broken in half, one block makes two markers. At a cost of $50 for a set of 4 faces, they can be assembled with approx $7-$10 in blocks and 100% Silicone adhesive to make an economical way to mark your family plot. They are also available in a set of six for $60 and a single marker for $25 that is suitable for Pet grave markers. Shown also are other markers that have been done for Pet Markers.
Desk Name Plates
These are some examples of the Desk Name Plates that we produce here at Eaglecarver. Plate is made from 12" x 2 3/4" x 1/2" DuPont Corian or similar solid surface material. Wood base shown here is 300 year old growth, Brazilian Teak wood with 4 felt feet on the bottom to eliminate possible marking of desk surface. As with all products here at Eaglecarver, everything is custom. If you have a preference of another type of wood for the base or a different color of Corian material, we have a wide range of colors to choose from. (Note: Use of the American Legion seal requires advance permission from American Legion National in order to be used. It is being shown here as an example of the type and quality of work available.) Typical cost of basic nameplates with name and title engraved is $25/ each and nameplates with complex logos such as the American Legion seal are considerably higher depending on the complexity of the logo/seal and the quantity produced.

Lithophane Light Box
The Lithophane light box is a unique product that is carved from 1/4" DuPont Corian and backlit with low power LED lighting to present a "carved" photograph of grand-kids, grandparents, wedding day or a host of other memorable occasions that are deserving of being permanently and beautifully presented. Starting from your photograph the Corian is carved with the image being permanently cut into the Corian. The relatively ugly carving then comes alive when it is backlit. Typical lightbox with 5x7 image sells for $110 which includes carving from your photograph, solid oak light box, LED lighting and plug in low voltage power supply. Other sizes are available ranging from 3 x 3 "sun catcher" carvings to as large as an 11"x17" image. Inquire for price and delivery information.

This "Eaglecarver Stackable Beadboard System" was created with the assistance of experienced "beaders" who have been designing and weaving Peyote stitch beadwork for years. As a result of this collaboration the "Stackable" concept was developed. This concept makes it possible to manage the large number of different colors of the #11 Miyuki Delica series of beads necessary for weaving Peyote Stitch tapestry beadwork. Two of the greatest advantages of using the Eaglecarver Stackable Beadboard System is reduction in beading time as well as greatly reduced errors. Although the initial cost of $29.95 per board seems steep, the increased speed, efficiency and reduce cost of wasted beads will justify the cost very quickly. Custom cover boards are also available which make putting a bead project on the shelf safely out of the way possible which makes coming back to it later a snap. Each beadboard is precision CNC milled from DuPont Corian to provide a durable high quality product that will last a life time. The heavy weight of the Corian reduces the accidental spills that are common with other attempts at managing the small seed beads.

Peyote Stitch Beadwork
These are a few samples of the Peyote stitch or style of beadweaving. Along with the #11 Delica beads being quite small and difficult to handle, the fact that each and every bead in a pattern is "stitched" into the tapestry one bead at a time makes this form of "art" somewhat rare and expensive. This doesn't sound too difficult until you consider that a pattern may take 5, 10 or 20,000 beads to complete. The "Silent Sentinel" pattern that is shown approximately 25% complete will contain over 85,000 beads when completed and measure 14 1/2" x 18" and will bring $3200 framed.
